Xiaomi EOS List: These Devices Will No Longer Get Updates

Xiaomi has revised its Xiaomi EOS list, which now includes various low-cost Xiaomi smartphones. They will no longer receive notifications. Xiaomi distributes updates to all smartphones virtually every day, and update support for these devices is gradually phased out.

You will no longer receive new Xiaomi updates if your Xiaomi device is on the Xiaomi EOS List. This includes security upgrades, so it’s critical to understand the hazards of using an outdated gadget. While Xiaomi devices are typically safe, older models may be more prone to attacks. As a result, if you own a Xiaomi gadget on the Xiaomi EOS List, we recommend upgrading to a newer model.

Information about the update status of devices included in the Xiaomi EOS List

The Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 9, and Redmi 7A are among the new additions to this list. The most recent update for these devices was MIUI 12.5. After that, it will no longer receive security or MIUI interface upgrades beginning on August 25.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro aka Redmi K20 Pro shipped with MIUI 10 based on Android 9. This gadget included a 6.39-inch full-screen display, a 48MP triple back camera, and the flagship CPU Snapdragon 855. Unfortunately, the Mi 9T Pro aka Redmi K20 Pro was recently added to Xiaomi’s EOS list. This verifies that the Mi 9T Pro will not receive the MIUI 13 upgrade and indicates that its most recent update was MIUI 12.5. Users of this model, which is notable for its features, will not receive updates until a severe bug is discovered.

Furthermore, the Mi 9T, the series’ mid-range model, was added to this list, and it was previously confirmed that the current update for the Mi 9T, Android 11-based MIUI 12, is the latest version for this device. Unfortunately, the MIUI 12.5 update has not been applied to this device.

The devices that have previously lost update support and have been added to the Xiaomi EOS List (End of Support) are listed below. Unless a critical problem is discovered, specified devices will not receive updates.
