Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G receiving Android 12 based MIUI 13 update

Xiaomi started to roll out the MIUI 13 update with Android 12 for Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The upgrade is already being sent out in China, and additional markets are expected to receive it over the next few days.

The mobile was launched on 26th November 2020. The phone comes with a 6.67-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The update included all of the expected MIUI 13 Chinese ROM features such as Mi San Font, Crystallization super wallpapers, sidebar, widget, increased security measures, a reworked control center, and more. Furthermore, the update includes an Android security patch for February 2022, as well as an upgrade to Android 12.

The software update for Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G comes with build number V13.0.3.0.SJSCNXM. If you don’t want to wait for your update to come from OTA, you can download the update package of around 4.1 GB, so we advise you to download it using Wi-Fi.

If you are a Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G user in China, you could already get a notification of the latest MIUI 13 update. If you haven’t received it yet, you can check for the new update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You’ll also attempt to flash the file manually via the below link at your own risk.
