On Wednesday, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and the AMG F1 Champion Edition were released in China. The smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, include a “Dual VC” heat dissipation system, and support 120W fast charging. In addition to these features, the Redmi phones include OLED screens, quad JBL speakers, a CyberEngine ultra-wideband X-axis motor, and a special gaming antenna. The Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition has green highlights, carbon fiber texture, and chequered flag pattern components inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 racing vehicle.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone comes in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model that is priced at CNY 3,299, a 12GB + 128GB configuration that is priced at CNY 3,599, and 12GB + 256GB variant priced at CNY 3,899. It comes in three color options namely, Black, Blue, and Silver. The special-edition Redmi K50 AMG F1 Champion Edition is available with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage priced at CNY 4,199.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and AMG F1 Champion Edition differ in terms of design, RAM, and storage. Aside from that, the phones are identical. The Dual-SIM Redmi K50 Gaming Edition runs MIUI 13 on Android 12 and has a 6.67-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixel) AMOLED display. The display features a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 480Hz, a Displaymate A+ rating, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoCs with IO Turbo and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. According to the business, the phones have dual VC cooling with a heat dissipation area of 4,860mm square.

The Redmi phones also come with a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging, which is claimed to fully charge the phones from zero to 100 percent in 17 minutes. The phone measures 162.5×76.7×8.5mm and weighs 210 grams.
