New Concept Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro Renders Surface

People have been guessing about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra model of the smartphone since the Xiaomi 12 range was released in China. Previous dummy and case leaks proved the existence of the rumored Xiaomi 12 Ultra; nevertheless, the smartphone appears to be sold under the Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro brand.

Graphic designer Parvez Khan, aka Technizo Concept, in collaboration with LetsGoDigital has created a series of product renders of the new flagship model.

The smartphone is believed to include a 48MP under-display camera, so there are no cuts on the screen. The Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro is claimed to include a 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It is reported to have a peak brightness of 1500 nits and will support HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It is also said to have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The circular module will hold a quad-camera array with a broad primary sensor in the center. According to reports, the main camera on the Mix 5 Pro will be a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCell GN5 image sensor wide-angle camera.

The additional cameras on display to fill the cutouts on the left and bottom are claimed to be a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 48MP periscopic telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The camera in the upper right corner is unknown, however it might be a second zoom lens or a monochrome camera. The Mix 5 Pro sports a triple LED flash and a dTOF laser focusing technology, although the top right square-shaped sensor’s use is unknown.

The rear panel also reveals the Leica branding at the top left corner, which indicates that the device will be the first Xiaomi smartphone alongside the Xiaomi Mix 5 to have Leica branded cameras.

In terms of speculated features, the smartphone is supposed to be packed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as well as 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Surge C2 Image Signal Processor is also believed to be included (ISP). The Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro is expected to ship with a 5000mAh battery and Xiaomi’s newest 200W HyperCharge fast-charging technology.

Although it has been reported that the Xiaomi Mix 5 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCell GN5 image sensor, previous leaks have revealed that the MIX 5 Pro will feature an OIS-ready 50-megapixel (8192 x 6144 pixels resolution) primary camera associated with Sony sensors such as IMX766 and IMX707.

The tablet will also include a huge battery that can be recharged quickly, as we’ve come to expect from the Chinese company. The Mix 5 Pro will almost certainly come with a 5,000mAh built-in battery. It is intended to allow cable charging up to 200W and wireless charging up to 50W.

This lightning-fast fast-charging technology was first unveiled in May 2021, with the business indicating that major manufacturing will begin in 2022.

A 200W charger can recharge an empty phone battery in less than 10 minutes.

The Xiaomi Mix 5 series is expected to be unveiled in China in March 2022. Many people are hoping that this lineup will be distributed globally at some point. However, the specifics remain uncertain. Outside of China, the Mi Mix 4 is not available. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 from 2019, on the other hand, is still available in the Netherlands.

We still don’t know how much it will cost. The Mi Mix 4 was released at a competitive starting price of around €660 (5,000 CNY), with three color options: Ceramic White, Ceramic Black, and Ceramic Gray. Xiaomi may once again use a ceramic back panel, which is more durable and less susceptible to fingerprints than glass.
