The MIUI Gallery application is updated with important news

The MIUI Gallery application has received a new update that brings important new features. In detail, as reported by the MIUI team, version V3.4.9.0_v1 incorporates performance improvements, bug fixes, and a new tab to view important events of a specific date.

What’s new in the MIUI Gallery update

In addition to bug fixes and performance improvements, the update for the MIUI Gallery app brings a refreshed design of the ‘Recommendations’ section. Likewise, now it also incorporates the tab ‘On this day a year ago.

The new tab allows you to find photos or videos from a specific date. “A day like today, but from last year, you took these pictures” would basically be the idea. The tab also shows you the number of locations if the photos have one.

On the other hand, the update of the MIUI Gallery app allows you to activate or deactivate the new tab of ‘On this day. All you have to do is go to the settings section.

Version V3.4.9.0_v1 of the Gallery app is updated on phones running MIUI 13. For now, the new version is available only for the Chinese ROM and there is no information on whether it will reach the Global or EEA ROM. Also, the ‘On this day a year ago new tab only works on devices with Snapdragon 865 or higher processors.

Similarly, remember that the update is only available for the Chinese ROM. Therefore, it may not work on devices running Global or European ROM. The APK is in English and weighs just over 97 MB.
