Xiaomi App Notifications was added to MIUI 13 on the security app. A recent case has been the Security app, which now has a trick that lets you know if an application on your Xiaomi is behaving as it shouldn’t. In order to improve system permission management, MIUI will be able to notify you if an application is using the camera, location, or microphone in real time.
How to enable Xiaomi App Notifications on Security applications
The latest update of the Security app in MIUI 13 brought a curious trick for Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO mobiles. The new version is not yet deployed among users, so if you want to look at it.
In detail, the security update allows you to find out if an application is making use of a specific component. Of course, the most important ones would be the camera, the microphone, and the location. These three elements are essential when it comes to protecting our private information, which is why they are usually the point of interest in cyber attacks.
Now, to prevent applications from using these components without your permission, you can activate the following trick from the security app of your Xiaomi:
Log in to Security.
Scroll to the bottom and enter ‘Privacy’.
Next, click on ‘Privacy’.
Next, turn on the ‘Receive notifications about app behavior’ switch
You will notice that some parts of the menu are in English. This is mainly because the update is not officially available. So you will have to wait for it to be deployed by Xiaomi to be able to use it in your language.
Once the security trick is activated on your Xiaomi, a small green icon will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. It will tell us which hardware element is being executed in real-time.
In this way, we will be able to quickly detect if an application to which you have not granted the necessary permissions is behaving as it should not.
