After its first phases of deployment, multiple company terminals received the customization layer update. Now, through Mi Pilot, it was learned that there are more than 14 Xiaomi mobiles that would still be updated to MIUI 13.

Mi Pilot is a program that allows you to enjoy new MIUI updates until its stable version is released. Users who register will be able to receive MIUI 13 before others as long as their device is one of the required ones.

Xiaomi recently reactivated the Mi Pilot program to start testing MIUI 13 on a new batch of devices. In fact, the restart of the tests is aimed at mobile phones that are already a certain age in the market and that were not included in the first phases of the company’s updates.

In detail, the compatible mobiles for the program tests, and that MIUI 13 in its stable version has yet to be received, are the following:

  • Redmi 8 / 8A / 8A Dual
  • Redmi 9 / 9A / 9C / 9C NFC / 9T
  • Redmi 10 / 10C / 10 2022
  • Redmi Note 8 / 8 (2021) / 8T / 8 Pro
  • Redmi Note 9 / 9S / 9T / 9 Pro

Devices like the Redmi 9T or the Redmi 10 have already received MIUI 13 in their stable and Global/European version. However, such devices are part of the list of compatible devices for the tests of the Mi Pilot program.

For the rest, most of these terminals do not yet have the update. However, if Xiaomi authorized the tests on said mobiles, it implies that sooner or later they will all be able to update to MIUI 13 at some point ( with the exception of the Redmi Note 8 whose update has been canceled ).

Applying for registration in the Mi Pilot program is not complex. Of course, it all depends on whether or not Xiaomi approves such a request. However, there are some requirements that you must make sure you meet before filling out the form on the official website. These are:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • The device must be signed in to your Mi account.
  • The applicant must take into account that errors in the update may occur. So he has to be willing to take risks.
  • You need to have the ability to recover the mobile in the event of a failure.

If selected, Xiaomi will contact the user to deliver the beta versions of MIUI 13. In this way, you will have at your disposal an early version of the customization layer which will be improved until it becomes completely steady.
